Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Home Sweet Answers collects when you visit the site, what it is used for, who it is shared with and what your rights are.
Who is responsible
The party responsible for processing data on this site is Home Sweet Answers, an informational content site about everyday household problems. For anything about privacy or your data, contact us by email at sweetpetsofficial@gmail.com. We reply within 15 days.
Information we collect
Home Sweet Answers does not ask you to sign up and has no login area. We do not ask for your name, your CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID), your address or payment details.
When you visit the site, some technical information is collected automatically by the services that keep the site online:
- IP address, browser type and device operating system;
- pages visited, and the date and time of access;
- the page you came from, such as a Google search.
If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and what you wrote.
What we use it for and the legal basis
- Keeping the site online and protecting it from attacks: technical access data, based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working site.
- Remembering the language you chose: a preference cookie, necessary for this function.
- Replying to your messages: your email and what you wrote, based on your contact request.
- Showing ads, when there are any: browsing data and advertising cookies, based on your consent where the law requires it, as explained below.
We do not sell personal data and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Home Sweet Answers uses:
- Language preference cookie (lingua): stores the language chosen in the selector for up to 1 year. It does not identify you.
- Advertising cookies: only when the site shows ads, as explained below.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Some functions, such as remembering the chosen language, may stop working.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Home Sweet Answers may show Google AdSense ads. In that regard:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this and other websites.
- The use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to Home Sweet Answers and to other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party cookies used for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
When there are ads, readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will see a consent notice before any advertising cookie is set, with the options to accept or decline. You can change your choice at any time through the same notice.
Who the data is shared with
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and protects it from attacks; processes technical access data.
- Google: shows the ads, when there are any, and receives the data described in the advertising section.
- Google (Gmail): stores the messages sent to our email.
These services are located outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. The transfer takes place under the contractual safeguards these vendors offer all their customers, such as the standard clauses accepted under Brazilian and European law.
How long we keep it
- Technical access data: for the period set by Cloudflare for the security and operation of the site, and not used by us to identify visitors.
- Language cookie: up to 1 year, or until you delete it.
- Email messages: up to 2 years after the last exchange of messages, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) in Brazil, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom, the CCPA/CPRA in California, PIPEDA in Canada, the Privacy Act 1988 in Australia, and the privacy laws of your own state or country elsewhere, you may:
- confirm whether we hold data about you and get access to it;
- correct incomplete or wrong data;
- ask for it to be deleted, blocked or anonymized;
- request data portability;
- find out who it has been shared with;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before;
- object to the processing of your data.
For any request, write to sweetpetsofficial@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can complain to the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) in Brazil, to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in Australia, or to the data protection authority of your own country or state.
